後續淘汰輪次 將於 7 月初 展開，16 強賽 大約在 7 月 4 日 開始，決賽則安排在 7 月 19 日 上演，屆時將決定 2026 年 FIFA 世界盃冠軍。
從過往戰績來看，墨西哥和南非曾在 2010 年世界盃 碰面，當時雙方以 1 比 1 握手言和，至今未分勝負。
另外，足球常見規則包含越位、VAR、黃牌與紅牌制度，也是觀眾理解比賽的重要基礎，相關規則也持續受到關注。
